In an era where data protection is crucial, GARR Filesender adopts an approach based on transparency and data minimization. Unlike "freemium" services that might monetize user information, our model is simple: your data serves only you and your recipients.

♻️ Data Lifecycle Management

The system is designed to retain nothing longer than strictly necessary. Here is how we manage your information:

Automatic Deletion

All transfers have a defined expiration.

  • Files: Are irreversibly deleted from servers after the expiration date (max 14 days).
  • Metadata: Information about who sent what is removed along with the files.
  • No "Shadows": There are no hidden copies or long-term backups of your transferred files. Once expired, they are gone forever, for your security.

Tracking and Logs

We retain technical logs only for the time necessary to ensure system security and for technical diagnosis, in compliance with current regulations and GARR policies.

👁️ User Control

Through your control panel, you always have visibility into:

  1. Which files are active.
  2. Who downloaded your files.
  3. When automatic deletion will occur.

You can also decide to manually delete a transfer before its natural expiration.
